The backside of the rugs
The easiest way to find out if the rug is machine-made or handmade is by checking the backside of the rugs. When you see the backside of rugs and if you find out that the back is not 100% even then this alone is a good sign that the rug is a handmade rug and every knot is done via hands. The more details showed on the backside of the rug the better the quality of the rug. It is more important if you are looking for a handmade rug because a lot of details mean that it took a longer period to complete it. The more detailed design on the back means better quality. More knots/weaves per square inch mean more durable and long-lasting.
